Shipping, Postage and Returns

Products which we have in stock are shown on the website. In normal circumstances, once you have placed an order we will usually send your order either on the day we receive it or on the next working day. This is not a guaranteed despatch time and in peak periods it may in fact take us a couple of days to actually ship your order. This is because the regulations which cover shipping hazardous chemicals restrict the quantities of certain chemicals the courier companies can have on their vans. We send out our orders in the order we receive them so at peak times your order may be delayed a few days until we are able to load it legally.

Once despatched, you will usually receive your goods within one or two working days. Deliveries have to be signed for.

The couriers will make two delivery attempts before returning your order to us. If your order is returned to us then we may have to make an additional delivery charge to get your order re-delivered to you.

Some of our larger swimming pools are heavy items, the heaviest been about 175kg. These are sent on a pallet on the back of a lorry. If you order one of these we may not send it until we have contacted you and arranged a specific delivery date. Because of the size of these items someone needs to be at home to accept delivery. Only one delivery attempt is included in the price you will have paid. If you are not home to accept the delivery you will have to pay again for another delivery and this is expensive.

Delivery charges are made based on the weight of the items you ordered. All chemicals, and most other small items will be sent using a courier service such as Amtrak or Business Post. Items sent using couriers incur a minimum delivery charge of £7.50 which is what it costs us (we don't make money on shipping costs)(if you know of a cheaper way of sending small packs of hazardous chemicals to domestic addresses then we would be interested in hearing about it!).

If you wish to return an item to us we need to know first. If you want to return chemicals then we need to arrange a collection using one of our couriers and we may charge for this. It is illegal for you to send hazardous chemicals via Royal Mail. If you can find another company willing to take hazardous chemicals you can arrange your own return if you have notified us first in writing. You are legally required to disclose to the courier company that you wish to send hazardous chemicals. If you don't and there is an incident you may be liable if you haven't informed them.
